Your chance to attend a pre-release viewing of George Clooney's movie The Monuments Men

You are invited to a Charity Preview of the film THE MONUMENTS MEN in aid of Polio Plus - Rotary's campaign to eradicate polio.  It will be at 6:30pm on Wednesday 19th February, 2014 at the   Gala Theatre 204 Cowper St, Warrawong NSW 2502.

Based on the true story of the greatest treasure hunt in history, the film is an action drama focusing on an unlikely World War II platoon, tasked by FDR with going into Germany to rescue artistic masterpieces from Nazi thieves and returning them to their rightful owners.

It would be an impossible mission: with the art trapped behind enemy lines, and with the German army under orders to destroy everything as the Reich fell, how could these guys - seven museum directors, curators, and art historians, all more familiar with Michelangelo than the M-1 - possibly hope to succeed?

But as the Monuments Men, as they were called, found themselves in a race against time to avoid the destruction of 1000 years of culture, they would risk their lives to protect and defend mankind's greatest achievements.

Written and directed by George Clooney, lead actors include Cate Blanchett, George Clooney, Matt Damon, John Goodman, Bill Murray and Hugh Bonneville,

Cost is $20.00 per person.  There will be pre-movie finger food and drinks at 6:30pm and the movie starts 7:15 - 7:30 with a run time of approx 110 minutes.
